Preferred Method of Logging?

Post by tigerchitpile » Mon Oct 02, 2017 7:28 pm

I have gathered that that printf doesn't print anywhere that I can see. Is there a recommended way of actually seeing printf statements for debugging and logging purposes? Or is there a different method of doing this that is more common/easier?

I suggest you to use debugnet if you're willing to log your own stuff.
There are also tools that redirect sceClibPrintf to either usb such as the promising (but not so stable yet) PSP2SHELL, or a file such as ShipLog.

Also, if your program crashes, the printf should be available in the core dump (.psp2dmp file) and you can open it with vita-parse-core.

Awesome, I'll have to check them out!
